Third Draft Theatre is here to provide all artists a platform to ask, demand and fight for change. We strive to inspire ourselves and those around us to ask for change in ourselves, our community and our society. Everything we do is “in draft”, we don’t need to be perfect but we can also change if we want to. Our collective was created to provide a space for early career artists to create and showcase their work - without spending their own money or “doing it for the art”.
We found each other through our love of nurturing the creative spark in all artists by providing a collaborative and safe space to explore.

Our collective is a judgment free zone where exploring difficult or uncomfortable ideas or subjects is encouraged and where we ask audiences deep impactful questions about issues that are meaningful to us. We provide a platform for voices that haven’t been heard.
For all our projects and productions we commit to having multiple overseers. This allows all artists to be able to report and communicate issues around any level in the production or overall company. We also commit to providing safe places when solving problems by encouraging all of our artists to invite a third unbiased party to be witness or act as mediators.
